Essential Tools

Communication

The official means of communication with all graduate students is via Email -through a university-issued email address. The IMS will send out regular email and Newsletters to all students.

IMS Administration

The IMS is one of the largest graduate programs in the University of Toronto. Visit our administration section to obtain details on the IMS administrative members and their responsibilities. You'll be dealing with us often!

ROSI - The Student Web Service

ROSI (Repository of Student Information) is the official student link to their records. Students can view their integrated academic history and account information as well as order transcripts, change their addresses, phone numbers and email addresses, enroll in courses, sign up for direct deposit of award cheques, and download tax receipts. Students are responsible for ensuring that their information on ROSI is current and up-to-date. We recommend that you check periodically. If you lose your ROSI password, please contact the IMS Office.

Counseling

Student counseling is the most important part of the IMS Graduate Coordinator's job. Students are strongly encouraged to contact the IMS office directly if in difficulty, whether personal or work-related. We can provide you with personal and professional advice, copies of any relative policies and guidelines, and refer you to any additional appropriate services. The utmost confidentiality will be maintained. Additional counseling and student service links are available on our Student Services section.

Deadlines

The School of Graduate Studies maintains an up-to-date listing of important deadlines. Many IMS deadlines are 5 working days in advance of the dates specified on the SGS website. If in doubt, contact the IMS Office. You will be reminded of many deadlines throughout the year via email.

English Language Skills

Every student should be able to read and write well. If you suspect (or are told) that you would benefit from additional coaching, please use the resources below, and contact the IMS Office for further advice.
